My husband and I will be in Nepal for the whole month of May. I’m looking for insight (any information will help) regarding our itinerary:
- EBC trek
We’re only going as far as Tengboche - not all the way up to the base camp. How/when should we book our flight from KTM to Lukla? What’s the average cost per person? Will it be necessary to hire a guide?
- AC
We also want to squeeze in another trek : Poon Hill toward the end of May. What type of weather/climate should we expect to get? Will teahouses…

Mustang

Fellow travelers. What would you recommend to see in the Mustang region if I have only 4 days to spend there?
If you think that is not enough time, how much time would you think should I be soending there when I am in Nepal for a total of 16 days?

Hello Folks,

after a pause of pretty much exactly 10 years, I ll be heading to Nepal again, trying to do one of the following treks. Indepth inside knowledge will be much appreciated. I ll try to phrase the questions as pointendly as I can, but please feel free to add some extra information.

Flying to Biratnagar or Bhadrapur (I heard Taplejung/Suketar only works on Fridays, which is not an option for me, as I ll reach KTM on Friday, April 27th and I probably need a day in KTM to prepare)
Which option is better? Biratnagar or Bhadrapur?
How long does it really take from there to get to the trek start at Suketar?
And how much money do I need to calculate for that?
Can I do the trek to South Base Camp (Ramche, Yalung), if my return flight from KTM leaves on May 18th early morning?

An air disaster has been reported on 12 March at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport. The airport is closed to departures and arrivals so check with your airline if you are flying to Kathmandu in the next 24 hours. I'll post more information when I have it.

I'm a 27 year old woman traveling alone to Nepal in early May to go trekking. I've decided on the Annapurna circuit, and most of what I've been seeing ranges from 18-21 days. Does anyone have any recommendations for specific companies and/or guides? I'm planning on booking this before I get there. Thanks!

I've noticed a lot of companies dont run in June onwards, due to weather conditions I'm assuming but Himalayan Glacier seem to push through til later than most.

Given that I'm restricted to June for my trekking opportunity is Nepal viable or should I look elsewhere.

I'm thinking, well, anything but Base Camp (not allowed to go without wife lol) Kanchenjunga, Annapurna Circuit, Nar Phu looks intriguing.
