Ama Dablam Adventures are Nepali and apparantly offer camping treks that are similar to the established Australian operators I am familiar with like Peregrine and World Expeditions (similar in quality but cheaper in price).
I'm looking at their Annapurna Dhaulagiri trek.
Has anyone used them?? Reliable?? Recommended?? Or not??
Thanks in advance...
I'm looking to visit Everest Base Camp in late June/early July but I'm having some trouble finding reliable information about the weather conditions around that time.
Can anyone give me a general idea of daytime and evening highs/lows? Also how rainy will it be?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I was wondering if anyone had taken a bus from Kathmandu via the Biraganj - Raxaul crossing into India. If so, how easy is it to find the bus in Kathmandu and what is the journey/crossing like?
Thank you!
I know this is a very subjective question but is you had to pick one trek regardless of length of time and how difficult, based on scenery and cultural attractions what would it be?
Annapurna, Everest, Lantang?
I would be interested in any and all opinions
Hi. I'm flying into Kathmandu in September to hopefully do 2 months of volunteer work with Volunteer Service & Support Nepal (VSSN) teaching english in monastries. I was just wondering if anyone else has done this or anything like this and about their experiences.
Hello, sorry about my bad english. I have so many questions, and I dont want to spam this forum, so I will write them here, in one big confusing mess.
So ive decided 14 days ago to go to Nepal, around the 13 of June. Im living here in India temponary, and suddenly had 1 month of vacation. I know its a very bad time going to Nepal, in this monsoon weather, but I cant change the dates.

I am an acupuncturist / Oriental Med. practitioner here in the US. I was planning to go to Kathmandu to treat Tibetan refugees at Schechen hospital, but they are no longer running the acupuncture department, as they cannot keep it staffed year round, which creates gaps in treatment. Since I have the time blocked out in October, I am wondering if anyone knows of a place where I could be of service. Other Tibetan communities needing volunteers? Any other type of clinic / hospital? Any contact…
