Can someone please advise. I plan on travelling in Nepal arriving 9th September and leaving at the end of September. We are going to do a trek around part of the Annapurna circuit. Is this is okay time to travel? Will it be monsoon season? Will this effect our trekking. Will will probably leave it to the later part of our trip.
Thanks in advance

Hi - I'm going to be trekking around Jomsom for 2 weeks in June, staying in lodges/tea houses. Should I have a sleeping bag or blanket with me?
I'm new to this.....
Thanks
it seems I was stupid to believe i could buy some decent trekking boots in kathmandu, but anyway, i'm stuck. has anyone seen / heard of / wants to sell any (secondhand or new) good, crampon compatible size 39 trekking boots? i'm off to pakistan & think the chances of buying any there or in delhi are even slimmer than here. i've been to about 30 shops so far & nothing.
with hope!

I'm going to do the Taplejung/ Kangchendzonga trek in October.
I'll like any information's from people that have done this trek.
I'm a bit mix about what temperatures to expect, is a minus 20.0 centius sleeping back good enough. Do I need to bring a down jacket?
Have anyone been flying in to Suketar, is it as bad as the stories goes.
Thanks a lot
Any other riders fancy joining me on a jaunt across Nepal and up to Himachal Pradesh.
...would also consider taking a passenger...I'm currently in Pokhara but will be in Kathmandu in a couple of days.

Hi. I'm a researcher from Canada heading to Nepal this fall to do a study on the acclimatization process in trekkers. I was in the Solo Khumbu a few years ago but I walked in from Jiri and bypassed Lukla. So - I'm wondering what proportion of people who fly in from KTM walk from Lukla direct to Namche on their first night (relative to those who spend their first night in Phakding). All the guided tours seem to stop in Phakding but perhaps independent trekkers tend to put in a big first day and…
Hello,
I am planning a trip with my family to Nepal. We are planning to visit Nepal in the first week of August. Is it a good time? We would like to visit Katmandu, Pokraha & Chitvan. Is it safe to visit these places? Is road transportation safe during monsoon.
Thanks

Namaste!!!
I've been in Nepal for a month now, and today it's been 2 weeks wandering aroun the kathmandu valley. I'm getting quite tired of this long time in KTM and I was looking to get active... I'd love to raft the sun koshi river but I've asked in the main rafting agencies and there's no departure yet. I travel solo, but I found there's a possible departure for 12th june if we join a group of 6. Now we're 3... so I wonder if any of you are around here now looking for ths rafting. We could…
Hi. I am planning on doing the Jomsom Trek in late Oct/early Nov this year. I will be travelling alone, arriving in Katmandu and after the trek will be heading down to Calcutta. Can anyone advise on the following queries please:-
1. Will it be easy to find trekking companions when I arrive.
2. Should I arrange guide/porter in Kathmandu or Pokhara.
3. Is it possible to leave excess baggage at hostel in Kathmandu or Pokhara - which would be best.
4. In late Oct/earlyNov is there a need for…
I will be trekking with a rather large group of friends (15) so to make things simple we want to work with a trekking agency to arrange for guide, porter, lodging at tea-houses and meals. What is a fair, per person, daily rate for all of this? I don't want to overpay.
