Hello,

I have read quite a lot of forum and have across a lot of opinion and suggestions. Based on those, I have created the below itinerary for my EBC trek along with Gokyo Lake. I am travelling from the US to KTM from Nov 8 - Dec 1. I think I have enough time to do 3 Passes too but, I am a little skeptical that I'd be able to complete it at this time.

Below is my itinerary - Please let me know if any modifications would make it better.
Day 1 Nov 8 Wednesday Enroute to KTM
Day 2 Nov 9 Thursday…

We are a family of five with kids 11 to 14. Our plan is to trek from Naya Pul to Ghandrung to Pothana to Phedi over three days.

We are planning this for mid to late November. I understand this will be pretty near peak season on a popular trail.

Should I be worried about finding accommodations when I arrive at each location? Should I try to book lodgings ahead of time?

We are leaving a day's buffer in case things go slowly, but that makes booking ahead harder.

Is there anything special to…

Hi, I trying to organise my trip from Kathmandu to Silliguri. Don't want to spend hours in a airport so I'm looking at a flight to Biratnager and then overland? I've been told there are plenty of taxis at the border (Naksalbari)which will take me to Silliguri.

Can anyone out there give me some advise?, as I don't fancy being stuck in the middle of nowhere without transport or being stitched up and paying the earth for transport. Trip planned for November 2017. Thanks in advance.

Hi All, I will be reaching KTM on 9th December and will be returning back on 30th December (21 days).
I would like to do some winter photography and have planned for the three high passes trek, but I am unsure of the trail condition and if the lodges will be open in December.
I found this thread by rdccomments very detailed, but it is now over 5 years old.
Does anyone have an idea on the feasibility of this trail during December esp. after the earthquake and recent floods?
I would have loved to…

Just got back from our third trip to Nepal (second trip to Swayambhunath) and just wanted to warn other parents traveling with children that our son (7) got bitten by a monkey at Swayambhunath. The attack was entirely unprovoked - he did not have food, he was not annoying any monkeys and in fact the monkey that attacked him was not even part of the group of monkeys we were looking at. A large adult (I assume male) monkey basically came out of nowhere and leapt on him.

I'd always understood that…

Hi All, I will be traveling to Nepal between 9th and 22nd of September; with the recent disastrous floods, I was wondering what the current situation is? Is it safe and desirable to travel? are there specific risks? is more heavy rainfall expected? what should we look out for? it would be great if some of you could give me some recent information, as it is very difficult to find updates online;

many thanks!

Due to cerebal palsy my friends 4 year old is unable to sit & walk on his own.
I would like to bring her a stroller so that we can take him out and about. And he will be able to participate a bit more in life outdoor. Also on my list is a Tripp-Trapp (wooden high-chair)
Due to weight restrictions on the flight I`d like to purchase the items in Kathmandu. Is this posible?Would be very grateful for any recommandation for shops to find them in.

Hi guys,

Me and my gilrfriend plan to visit Nepal in October. My travelagent just booked our flights Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu for our trekking tour in the Everest region. I just got informed that our airline will be Sita Air and now I am a bit concerned about the safety due to endless internet reports of the Sita Air crash in 2012. Furthermore I read that Sita Air is only entitled for cargo flights by the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal due to safety concerns. But obviously they still…

Hi there,
I am planning a trip to the Annapurna Region in November and have max. 9 days for a teahouse trek (tentative 14-22 Nov). I believe it'd be easier and more enjoyable to trek in a small group/trio/duo.

A friend based in Pokhara recommended a good guide at very reasonable day rate but I have no problem doing it independently, also have no problem doing it without a porter. I am experienced and reasonably fit.

The initial plan would be to do ABC including Poon Hill in 9 days but looks…
