Hi Folks,

A few of us are travelling from Dubai to Nepal in a couple of weeks and are wondering whether it is likely we will be asked to show a yellow fever cert.

From experience, I know you are normally only asked if you are coming directly from a yellow fever country (which the UAE isnt) but some of us have been in yellow fever countries in the last year or so and, therefore, I am not sure whether this would prompt them asking to see a certificate.

If anyone has been asked - it would be great to know. We are arriving in Kathmandu.

Many thanks to all - and happy travels.

As far as i'm aware, if you have been to a Yellow fever area, ie Africa, South America, then you will need a Yellow fever Cert, this is standard in most Country's ......

Oh by the way i thought that you needed the Cert to leave the infected area in the first place ? and if you have a Cert then i would bring it with you, no point in getting to Nepal only to be denied entry for not having a Cert that you left behind because YOU THOUGHT THAT YOU DON'T NEED IT.....

If you got into the UAE then you should have no problems getting into Nepal. Not sure of the time periods but it is only fairly recent visits to YF areas that are a problem I think

PS And how would they know you had been to YF countries before the UAE? At least without very detailed perousal of the stamps in your passports.
