Hi there!

I am planning to trek the Manaslu Circuit next week. Very excited about it. Last night I checked the weather forecast and it seems there will be snowfall and very low temperatures in the mountains next week 13-20 March [also at the Annapurna Circuit]. I am very curious what to expect; is this normal for the time of year? And would you still recommend going, or suggesting doing a alternative trekking at lower altitude [for example the Langtang trekking].

Look forward hearing....
Martijn

No, it's not terribly unusual for the time of the year and I would still go if I were you. Just make sure you're adequately dressed for the weather and in the case of heavy snow be prepared to wait things out for a day or two.

few groups have been crossing down due to snowfall and closed the lodge at Dharmashala while our were going up ( treks has been started on 22nd Feb 2017 from Kathmandu). They treked up to Samdo and stayed there 2nd night too (2nd and 3rd Mar) and trek back https://scontent-bru2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/17155882_964258577043926_3187952977342832994_n.jpg?oh=ac69698a35eb11d7b601c74c4a9fa39c&oe=5928DFB9 . This evening arrived (back) Sotikhola... according to the group, two groups has been crossed Larkya La around 26 and 27 Feb.
I guessed, weather will be better till you reach there. I also would go if I were you...

Good Luck!

That's the story of Larkya La, especially in the Spring. Need several buffer days in case of weather issues.
