Hi All,
I know how frustrating it is trying to find a good trekking guide in Nepal, so having just returned from an 8 day trek to Annapurna Base Camp I thought I'd list the details of the excellent guide I used. His name is Tika Pariyer, he lives in Pokhara and his knowledge of the local area is superb. He speaks good English and can arrange treks (with porters if necessary) at very short notice. I gave him the details of the trek we wanted to do at 4pm in the afternoon and he was ready to depart the next morning. If anyone is thinking of sourcing a guide independently (and saving the commission paid if you go through the agencies) then I can recommend Tika as a good choice.
His email address is : tikabro@hotmail.com
Forgot to mention, he's also a thoroughly nice guy.
