Hi,
Can anyone advise what the conditions were on the Thorung La Pass the last week of March this year or in fact generally in March. I am planning a tip next year and flights seem most advantageous in mid March which would put me on the pass between the 20th & 30th. Any information would be appreciated.

hi, till 11.00 clear sky, after that cloudy. Unless there is no snow storm, the pass is ok. (trek done in middle of May, weather wonderful, rain once, few tourists)

March should be good, but Thorung La is a high pass. Any kind of weather can happen at any time. Having been there in late December and July, had contrasting weather (very cold, and then mild) but no snow. Even if there is a snowstorm, conditions can change from one day to the next, and you may be able to cross the next day. I would not be fazed by the weather, but I am an arrogant bastard, who does not give a damn about the weather, which in my opinion can go to hell. A good guide would be helpful if the weather goes really bad.
I enjoy mountains, especially big huge humangus mamas like the the Himalayas, in any kind of weather, and at any time of the year.
