Hello Everyone,

Trekking to EBC for many times, I realized that to know where have emergency resources we need is very important. Especially for the altitude sickness.

So I collected some information I found online also from my experience below.

Clinic and hospital

Namche
1. Healing Centre ( Tibetan Medicine )
located next to the Camp de Base hotel. Provides free treatment for porters and other patients on low income.

  1. Dental clinic
located on the right side slope of the village when looking up

Kunde Village
1. Kunde Clinic (Western medicine )
full equit, includes decompression chamber

  1. Kunde Hospital

Machhermo
1. Emergency rescue centre Porter shelter
Supported by IPPG, included PAC、oxigen generator、medicine、altitude sickness lecture
doctor during season
provide food for porters for affordable price

Gokyo
1. Porter shelter medical help
Not always have doctor, but have good phone connection to Machhermo shelter

Pheriche
1. Trekker’s clinic (Western medicine)
Have PAC, altitude sickness lecture、physician

Places where have Gamow bag(PAC)
1. Everest sherpa resort (Syangboche)
2. Trekker’s clinic (Pheriche)
3. Emergency rescue centre Porter shelter (Machhermo)

Above are all I knew, it will be extremely helpful if someone know other resources or could gice the detail of the situation of those clinics. Any new updates welcome!

Not sure what "Porter shelter medical help" means but my porter almost died(AS) in Gokyo a year ago and the only way to save him was to carry him in the middle of the night to Machermo.

IPPG Machermo Rescue Post is open until approx 28th November, and Gokyo closes a little earlier around the 6th November.
