Has anyone done rafting from Pokhara to Chitwan or similar?
I have been living in Kathmandu since November and am hosting an American friend for a month in April/May. We are approaching 50 and 60 years old and are not especially fit, so trekking is not too appealing, but I would like to give him an overview of places outside the valley on a side trip or two.
I have looked briefly into driving (or maybe flying) to Pokhara, then rafting for a day or two trip to Chitwan--not looking for an adventure white-water trip. We would really prefer mostly an exploring, calm rafting option if that's possible.
Any feedback/thoughts/recommendations?

I dont think, you can do rafting from Pokhara to Chitwan. As per my idea, you can do rafting at Trishuli river which is on the way to Pokhara, that Trishuli river will end at near to Mugling ( which is in between Kathmandu,Pokhara and Chitwan. So there is another option for Mugling to Chitwan rafting.

Hope it will help you.

Thank you for your help. I had been thinking the Trisuli River sounds like our speed. :) If any of your friends have ideas about rafting part of the way between any of the travel between Ktm-Pokhara-Chitwan, I'd love to hear about it.

I haven't looked into it in too much detail, but I've heard that you can do a bus/rafting combination (with much of it via raft down close to Chitwan). I would recommend looking at Ultimate Descents (http://www.udnepal.com/) as they are in my opinion the best rafting outfit in Nepal - I've been a guide in the US for 23 years and my wife and I have gone on five different trips with them.
