We are two 60+ women planning on doing a 6 day trek starting Oct. 14. We will be accompanied by guide and porter arranged by agency. We are trying to decide on whether it is better to do circuit clockwise or counter clockwise. The 2 options are:
1. Oct. 14-Nayapul to Tihke dhunga
2. Oct. 15-to Ghorepani (long steep climb)
3. Oct. 16-Poon Hill dawn to Tadapani
4. Oct. 17-to Ghandruk
5.Oct. 18- to Pothana
6. Oct. 19- to Pokhara

Option 2 is supposed to be easier. It also substitutes dawn view from Deurali which it says is similar to Poon Hill without the crowds. Is it?
1. Oct. 14- Nayapul to Syauli (2 hours)
2. Oct. 15- to Ghandruk (5 hours)
3. Oct. 16 -to Tadapani (4 hours)
4. Oct. 17 to Deurali (4 hours)
5. Oct. 18 to Ulleri(6 hours)-long steep downhill
6. Oct. 19 to Pokhara (3 hours)
If took above option, would it be advisable to modify it to hike longer first day and stay somewhere else so shorter hike the following day? If so where? What about modifying to stay in Ghorepani instead of Deurali so as to do Poon Hill? Any recommendations about where to stay?

Hi
As above, I would stick to “Plan A” – The first two days will be fairly hard going but once you have arrived at Ghorepani, You have gained most of your height for the trek.
Day three you will be up Very Early to see the sun-rise on Poon Hill then a bit more height to gain when you leave Ghorepani, then a delightful days walking to Tadapani which Really is a Beautiful place and a lot less trekkers than on the main Poon Hill route.
Then after that, pretty much downhill all the way back to the road head, probably Phidi.
I have photographed most of this route at

I Hope that helps a little
Happy Trekking

Dear Madam

First option is the better for you because you must spend overnight at Gorepani and also if you come from other side it would be very difficult for you to come down long walk form gorepani to Hile.
I wish you have nice and safe holiday.
