do i need to buy airticket to and return LUKLA IN ADVANCE?
IF buying the return ticket,can i change the day without charge?
if I just walk in the day I want to take the flight,would it alreay fully bookING at late OCT?(PEAK SEASON??) AND FULLY OCCuPIED?

It is very possible it will be full, you should have it booked ahead of time. Also, when it is crowded and there is a weather delay it is possible to wait around for several days for them to catch up. Theres another airport 2/3 days walk from Lukla at Phaplu.

Just returned from 11 days in September in Kath....6 days trek to T. Monastery....you need to reserve ahead of time..try Yeti Airlines...they are Sherpa Owned...The post-moonson weather was still wet...planes were full....eventhough we were able to leave for Lulka on schedule others on our flight had been waiting 3 days to get to Lulka..the same on the return....if you are going trekking be sure to do so during the first part of your trip to factor these possible delays so not to miss your international connections...Rain/cloud cover cause delays during the rainy season...high wids cause delays during the high season...go to airliners.net and go to photo search...type in Lukla to get a view of the airport at Luka..certainly one of the best parts of the trek...
