i've decided to do my circular trip backwards from beijing & re-enter china on my dual entry visa from nepal rather than pakistan
...the only big hurdle i have left is the permit for the overland part into tibet & on to golmud via the new train from lhasa
...question is where in kathmandu is the best place for organizing this venture?.
...total time i've alloted myself from islamabad, down thru indian via delhi, agra & varanasi & on to lhasa is a little more than 2 months
...have to be back in beijing by the 5th of september to meet my wife so probably would lilke to catch the 48 hour train straight thru from lhasa the beginning of september

You can not enter Tibet from Nepal with normal visa, be it double or triple or whatever. You have to join an organized tour group from Nepal and stick with them all the way out of China, as you will be on a new group visa. Some people have been able to get separate visas in China and go their own way, but not in Tibet as far as I know.
Back to the drawing board...
