I'm looking for people to Trek with from Late March to end of May. The last time I went to Kathmandu the internet age was in its' infancy in Nepal and the best way to hook up with people was to post a note on the message board outside the Kathmandu Guest House. Does this method still work?

If you're going to a popular area, you will also meet companions along the trail.

Hi Phil, I'm a photographer (UK born but have been living in Shanghai for the past 20 years)and I'm in the throes of organising a trek (ca. 10 days) for early April. Probably Gokyo Lake Trek. Will likely find a guide on arrival.

Hi Kevin
I'm registered on http://www.trekkingpartners.com/ as Philip. If you want to contact me with more details you can private message me there. I arrive Kathmandu on 23 March so I could possibly trek up to Lukla rather than fly in and then meet you there. I've done Everest Base Camp, Annapurna and Langtang Treks many years ago. I did the Everest base camp in 1995. As I didn't have anyone to Trek with I hired someone at Namche Bazzar to walk with me - I guess nominally a Guide but in practice no guiding was necessary and his role was more to ensure that I had someone with me in case of and accident.
