I am interested to travel to Khaptad via Nepalgunj and pass through Royal Bardia on the way.
- Does anyone have any information on what to expect?

- Is it possible to fly from Pokhara to Nepalgunj or how to travel from Pokhara?

- Is it safe and what is the Maoist situation in that area now?

- What kind of accomodation in Nepalgunj and Khaptad?

Any comments or tips will be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much!

Royal Bardia National Park has such an exotic animals and jungle environment of the Terai region. Bardia is more isolated and more natural for the visitors. But this also adds to the excitement of exploring this jungle. Most of the resorts are locketed near the border boundary of the park and numerous jungle activities are possible. The resorts are extremely pleasant and enjoyable and offer Bardia as their front yard.
There are a wide variety of jungle activities available in the parks. Elephant rides are the best way to explore the jungle and search for wildlife. Jeep safaris are also available for those who don't feel like riding an elephant. Others might enjoy a jungle walk with an experienced guide who can tell you about all the wildlife and vegetation that is unique to the Terai region. It is such a great way to see the many different bird species of the jungle.
