I thought Thamel had kao San road elements for sure, mexican food was great tho! Loads of shops and stuff, stalls, and backpackers and bars!! i heard Freak street was interesting but never made it there??
I was there around 10 months ago - mmmmm, buritos!

It's very dirty and polluted city.
Be careful with the people at Thamel,and Durbar square.

Thamel and the temple areas are "touristy", 95 % of Kathmandu never sees tourists...

I cant remember the name of the place but there are def a few places doing mexican!!! All in Thamel!
