So you have to pay 190 pounds to get single entry Visa for up to 3 or 6 months? No way. According to their website in Nepal I would have to pay 150 pounds and In Poland the Embassy asks for 50 pounds for 6 months Visa. So I don't get it.

Whichever foreign exchange service you're using isn't very good either.

For example in Netherlands Dutch citizens get 6 months mutiple entry Visa for 70 euro, that's 65 pounds.

I've just thrown 17500 nr into google and it gave me £125, for the Indian visa...
According to https://www.hcilondon.in/pages.php?id=28 a visa for 1 year, single entry will cost me £100. If this is correct, I could apply for it before I head off to Nepal. I am aware it starts from apply date, rather than entry but I won't be staying in India that long anyway. I think I'd prefer to have this visa sorted before I left the UK as I think it's the only one I can't get on arrival(?)

Today's rate is 1 British pound = 87.9687187 Indian rupees

17500 by 88 is 198.

You better apply in the UK.

I think our Polish friend is confused. This time confused between NR and INR.

But that is not the price (nor the cost) of the visa.

If 10 quid either way matters to you, then you shouldn't be travelling at all.

At what point did I say that £10 mattered to me? Thanks for referencing the link.
