Hi all,

I'm planning on traveling from Nepal (Kathmandu) to Tibet (Lhasa) around August this year, and i plan to organise an overland tour from Kathmandu to Lhasa. However, I'm concerned about the risk of altitude sickness
- I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about this [if there are certain tour companies which don't allow enough time for acclimatisation, how many days should it take to get from KTM to LHA with sufficient time for acclimatisation, etc]

Hi
Normally 08 days is kathmandu Lhasa overland tour duration.
It takes about 04 days drive and on 05 day you will arrive to Lhasa .You will have 3 night
stay in Lhasa then you can fly back Kathmandu /own your destination or stay longer in Lhasa.

A good idea is to stop for 2 nights in Nyalam, which is the first town on the plateau and before the first high pass. 1 night for sure!

I use Diamox.
