Yesterday I took the 700 NPR bus from Chitwan to Kathmandu. We left at 7:00am and got to KTM at 8:30pm. What was supposed to be a 7 hour bus ride took more than 13 hours. This was all due to the construction and heavy traffic.

The driver only stopped at 9:00, 2:00, and 7:00pm for a pit stop. In stopped traffic we could get off and stretch our legs but there was no where for the ladies to relieve themselves (not even a bush). And no where to get snacks.

I don’t think a delay this bad is the norm, but it is still happening. It’s a sacrifice one makes for a $7 bus ride vs $100 plane.

(not even a bush). It`s always good to have an umbrella for such embarrassing occasions! You can hide behind it in such a case...
