Hi;

I'm coming to Nepal in 10 days time for 3 weeks.
Among the things I want to do, I'd like to do the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek for 10-12 days.

My plan is to find a local agency (in KTM or Pokhara) to join a group excursion as soon as I arrive. Is it a good idea or should I rather make a reservation now from abroad?

Also, how would the weather be like on the ABC trek?

thank you all

Mathias

Wait until you get to Nepal to book but I would say to do the trek independaently without a guide, porter or group. The trail is easily defined, the lodges are good and there will be many people. Grab a guidbook and go.

Hi
You have picked an Excellent trek, I did this one myself 3 years ago and Thoroughly enjoyed it !!
There is no real need to join an organised tour to do this trek as the route is simple to navigate and there is plenty of good accommodation en-route, However if you do want to go as part of a group then Pokhara is a better choice to organise it.
I have written about this trek on

Also I have mentioned a couple of my preferred travel agents
I Hope that helps a little and if you have further questions then please feel free to drop me a line
Happy Trekking
