Planning on arriving Delhi May time, dropping down to Agra for a day or two, a day or two in Shimla, and then stuck.

Where is a nice place to go after Shimla - we'll want to see people after small Shimla town, so is Chandigarth good, or is it worth heading across someplace else?

Needs good connections to Delhi. Where would you go if you had a day or two near Shimla?

I am in the process of making plans to visit Varanasi this coming September and October to attend the Ramlila in Ramnagar. I would like to hear from anyone who has attended the Ramnagar Ramlila. I would be interested to hear their impressions of the experience and also to get some practical information on the best way to commute to Ramnagar each day from Varanasi for the event and comments on just how large and manageable (or unmanageable) the crowds are. -John

I have heard that Arambol beach is meant to be a really good place to learn to kite surf. Has anyone done it or known people who have done it in Arambol? Do you have an idea of cost and whether it is a good, safe set up? Are there different companies operating or just one??

i will be in ladakh for most of august and really want to do some trekking. i will be doing everest base camp in october when i head up to nepal but would like to get some practice in before then!

I'm planning on travelling from Rishikesh to Dharamsala & I'm presuming that my only option is by bus? Considering that it's quite a long journey, can anyone suggest somewhere to stop for 1 night en route? If not, will just do the whole trip in one go.
Also, does anyone know of self-catering accommodation, as such i.e. kitchen included, in Mcleod Ganj, Dharmkot or Bhagsu (preferably the former though) as I plan to stay there for about a month?
