Hi all

Am currently in Varkala, and enjoying relaxing on the beach APART from the humidity.
Can anyone recommend a peaceful beach in the south that isn't too humid this time of year (would prefer if it's not overrun with package tourists or hippies if possible!)

Hi, Can someone please tell me if I will be able to Ski in Kashmir in the last week of April ? I am reaching Srinagar on the 23rd. Thereafter going to Sonmarg and Gulmarg too. Is it too late for snow and it would have melted or will we get to play and ski in the snow ? Also I hope it is safe there. What do you think ? Thanks for your replies.

Anyone studied yoga at the Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwatari centre near Trivandrum?
My partner & I are new to yoga & would like to get an introduction while we are in India - would you recommend this ashram/style for beginners?
We are thinking of a week or so, rather than an intensive month+ course. Any other suggestions? We are in the south (Varkala) and then will head towards Sikkim, HP etc.

I'm trying to reserve a room at Hotel Downtown as well as arrange a pick up from the airport since I'm arriving at midnight in Delhi. We would like to know which are the best possible ways to get around in Mumbai, Jaipur and New Delhi.
We are looking to stay at the Seagreen in Mumbai which is located on Marine Drive. We are looking to stay at the Umaid Bhawan hotel in Jaipur, but we still don't know which hotel to stay in Delhi (any recommendations in Delhi, which areas would be ideal?)

My partner and I will be in Kolkata in April 2007.

About 2 years ago, went on a historical walking tour of Kolkata with an Australian guy who lived in Kolkata.

I cannot find this guy's details in the new Lonely Planet (and my previous edition has long since gone to LP Heaven).
