I am planning to trek in the Sikkim area for 15-20 days in July and, based on some basic research, the treks that are at the top of my list are Green Lake and Dzongri / Goechala. I'm looking for 3-4 other backpackers, so if you are planning a trek in the region at the same time, please do get in touch. A few questions:

I am hoping to spend 4-6 weeks in South India during the school hols this summer. I was hoping to try and bag a cheap return to Goa, because I keep hearing how cheap this is to do. However, it appears that a lot of chartered flights do not operate during the off-peak tourist season. Has anyone ideas about how I am going to get an affordable flight from the UK during this time?

I am traveling to India mid-June and am planning on traveling to Rajasthan for a couple of days.
Given the short time I have, I would like an opinion about visiting either Jaipur or Udaipur.

Any thoughts from people who have been to both these cities?
I am planning taking a flight from Delhi to either of these cities and given that I cannot visit both cities,
I would like to visit one that would be more worthwhile.

I live in Shanghai right now and want to go to India this summer. All the flights I see to India from Shanghai are expensive as hell. Plus, if I wanna go in via Nepal, I can't seem to find out how to book tickets though Royal Air. They don't seem to have a website, only a webpage. Plus, does anyone know what the cheapest flights to Nepal or India are via China?

Hey Everyone,
I was wondering which station was the best for accessing the Goa beaches around Panaji and Old Goa. The guy at the train station was trying to tell me Madgaon, but it seems obvious to me that Karmala would be the most convenient. Are there reasonable connecting services to all the beaches west of Old Goa from both stations?
