anyway, can someone give me an advice how we still get tickets in july? i am only aware of jetairways, but i recall there had been many other (less reliable?) airlines on the tormac of…

Hi Folks,
Due to being invited at an Indian wedding-party from a friend, I will be able to spend some days in India on my own.
I will have "free-time" in New Delhi for 2.5 days and in Srinagar (Kashmir) for 3 days. As it will be my first visit to India, I
have a few questions:
- What do you recommend me to visit in New Delhi (a "must to do or see" for a newbie) ??
- What are nice restaurants to visit in New Delhi ??
- What is a good hotel in New Delhi (not too far from city-centre and domestic…
Heya TT’ers, especially the ones down south, wanted to share a little Gem of a guesthouse thatI stumbled upon.
My mates and I drew up (down ?) to Coonor/Wellington.. The plan was to avoid ooty’s chaos.. But guess what coonor was more crowded than ooty… Bizarre ! I think people thought like us and wanted to escape the crowds and EVERYONE ended up in Coonor! So much for thinking differently!
Well anyways.. The post is about this gem of a place we ‘discovered’. This place is away from the madness of…

How can I book my train ticket from Europe?

Hi, My friend and I, young grandmothers -fly to Trivandrum June 21st and fly out from Bangalore July 25th - we have no plans . Can 'fellow travellers' please recommend a nice place to stay in Triv. -(We arrive late evening) with approx cost for twin room and cost of taxi to the hostel/lodge/private home/hotel?? From Triv we plan to train (30% discount for over 60's) wherever we are recommended by ThornTree forum, or once we are in India - from fellow travellers. We will be on our way home from…
On her bicycle: "I stopped at the roundabout on my way out of Trivandrum, to check the route to Quilon with the traffic policeman on duty there. He pointed to the road, listed all the places along it, then said, "My name is Benjamin." "My name is Anne." I said, and we shook hands solemnly in the middle of the roundabout, while cars hooted and bullocks stamped. Trivandrum's roads were crowded that Sunday morning with families on their way to the beach at Kovalam and hordes of Communists arriving…
Hi all-
I have been trying to book these flights on Air Deccan's website for weeks and it will never take my credit card. I had to also book some flights with SpiceJet and that was no problem. They payment page for AirDeccan asks me for my credit card pin. I don't know what to put for that since I don't think I have one and since I am never asked that when paying for anythying online. It won't accept my payment because of incomplete information.
If anybody else has any other way I can book and…
