hi all,
can you give me some advice? I have 5 1/2 weeks in India, and need to end up in Delhi where I'm taking an onward flight. My initial thought was to fly into Delhi too, then go to Agra, and on into Rajasthan (following a well trod path I expect!) to Jaipur - Udaipur - Mt Abu - Jaisalmer - Jodphur - Pushkar (will be there for the camel fair) then back to Delhi. With only 5 half weeks, is this too much? Plenty of time?
An alternative would be to fly into Kolkata as the start point of the…

Hi guys,
I haven't had much luck searching for this answer so thought i'd try starting a new post.
Basically i'm wondering if there is any way of getting relatively easily/directly from Kashgar into northern India without flying? My boyfriend and i are currently considering doing a tour group trip across China that ends in Kashgar, and we were hoping to go to India afterwards. If anyone knows if it's possible to do this by train/bus could you pass on any info? I get the impression people have…
Hi,
I've just returned from goa, and unhappy to report that goa is looking worse than ever. Especially in Anjuna, Calangute, Candolim, Palolem, Colva and Cavelossim.
I've been to Goa eight times now, and the litter/rubbish problem just gets worse year after year.
Why is that?
It's probably because nobody really wants to deal with cleaning up the place.
Locally, there is a big focus on tourists being the problem, but I disagree completely with that.
Blaming tourists for dropping rubbish is just not…

Can anyone suggest nice accommodation in Arombol - I don't want some flimsy beach hut nor some dingey room with no a/c. I plan to spend a couple of days relaxing and want something with a little luxury, a/c, comfortable bed, some character, nice garden, clean, friendly.....does anything exist in this area.
At Anjuna I stayed at the wonderful Grandpa's Inn, so something similar would be wonderful.
Thanks
We are heading to India (landing in Mumbai) in early July....right in the middle of monsoon season!! Any tips on places to go to avoid the wet? Perhaps in the north of the country? We are thinking of possibly Leh and surrounds. Or maybe Assam and Sikkin (is it generally safe there?) We only have a week...but we are willing to fly domestically to get there. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Angela and Marc.
