Am heading up to Sikkim, starting with Gangtok, next Wednesday. The weather forecast (Weather Underground) is totally awful, like the ten next days rain! Every single day! 1-2cm of rain predicted.
I'm trying to get a feel of whether this is actually the truth?! Is this likely this time of year? I wouldn't have thought so? Is it more a probability thing per day, or is it really raining the last few days and likely to continue? Is anyone there at the moment?
I have no intuition here…

My question is 1) How often does a bus leave from Manali to Kaza in Spiti 2) How long does it take 3) Are they basically safe .. accident free... and 4) Does it stop in Batal where I can either hike to that glacier lake or is it easy to get transport from Batal to near the lake...and back again. My boyfriend and I are going to India for 3 weeks and would love some assistance with the itinerary, there is so much choice and travel seems like it can be challenging! I am looking to travel to India within the next 2 weeks for 14 days. My passport expires end of September and Indian visa couple of days after on October 2nd. That leaves under 6 months on both passport and visa. I was able to confirm that I need 6 month validity on my US passport. My question is, is that accurate - 6 month validity on passport? If so, I can try to get an expedited renewal on my passport. My 2nd Q: can I travel to India with under 6 months left on my visa?
