Hi, I planned to go to India cheaply by land, but my plans have changed and I must fly so my question is - can you advice me some cheap airways what are doing flights from Europe (especially from Prague/Vienna/Budapest or Frankfurt) to India? The cheapest I found was for 480USD for one-way ticket, what I don't find very cheap. And what is by your opinion cheapst airway destination - Delhi, Mumbai or Kolkata?

Hi Markoff, I live in Europe and visit India often. I think that 480 USD each way is not that badl!!! I fly from Geneva and the best I have found so far is about 1300 franks return (in low season). Generally, I find that travel agents are expensive; it is much better to buy on the internet. Delhi and Mumbai tend to be cheaper as there are more flights available.

Air Slovakia flies from Bratislava to Amritsar, or at least it did recently. Austrian seems to be stopping their service to South Asia soon. Try some of the Mideast carriers, won't be cheap though.

OP it's not actual yet, I found AirArabia.com and I will fly with them, Bratislava-Istanbul by bus incl. tur visa about 100USD and Istanbul-India with AA 185USD, so final price from Slovakia to India comfortly 285USD for one way and I can for same good price buy at any time without some time limitations (as at roundtrip trickets) air ticket back to europe

so 480USD is extremely overpriced against 285USD, I like buses/trains, so it will be even better than stupid flight directly from Europe to India without seeing other countries
