Hi there
My friend is getting married this June in Mumbai and has recommended I take a trip around Himachal Pradesh either before or afterwards to escape the heat and humidity. I love the outdoors and do a lot of walking in my native Scotland. However, I am anxious about travelling around on my own. Therefore, I am trying to find an organised tour for up to 10 days. I could do a simple bus trip stopping in many places but I'd prefer to fit in an easy/moderate trek for around 5 days... Can anyone recommend some good tour operators/trekking companies who could accommodate a single traveller into a group? The problem is that my dates are quite fixed around the wedding so a smaller local company may be more flexible. Any ideas?
Many thanks
Katie

hi
you don't really need a tour operator to trek in india (atlease not for the easy moderate treks you are looking for). I can recommend two treks Pindari / Kafni trek or the Har ki dun trek. Both are tea house treks where you'll find both shelter & food on trail. You can also be a part of groups at the road head. Just do some googling.
