Im will be travelling around Rajsthan and thought a travel buddy would b fun! My rough idea is to cover Pushkar, Bundi, skip Jaipur (heard its not so nice), out to Jaisalmer, camel ride/camp. I want to stop in smaller places to check out areas off main tourist track if possible.
I would like to share the cost of a car or going by motorbike for freedom and flexibility.
I heard you can get a car for $190 USD for 5 days including petrol and tolls and go where you want etc....Its expensive but with the heat now some aircon might be good?? I havnt checked out motorbike options yet.
I plan to b in Delhi on 14th or 15th April and start from there
Anyone interested in hooking up? I have 2 weeks for this part of my trip but i can be flexible
by the way, Im an Australian- female

'anyone interested in hooking up?...............I can be flexible ,by the way Im an Australian female" I think you may well get some reaction, take care !

Hi
I'm an English gentleman currently in Delhi. I'm planning on going to Agra (of course!) and was thinking of doing Jaipur and up to the Corbett National park but I could be flexible. If you're interested get in touch and we can chat about it. It would be nice to have somebody to talk to!!
PS I'm quite harmless and safe. But I don't really know how to prove that over an email so will understand if you'd rather decline.

The cost you are being charged for the car seems way too expensive.
Transport is easy to arrange when over in India and you may find it more economical to pay by the km. rather than an all in one up front charge.

....the post may have been misinterpreted as i am not looking to "hook up" in any other sense than to share costs!
Thanks Zoltan! for advice re car costs, I'll shop around some more prices

Just another thought for you to consider...
As you are starting from Delhi, you may want to get a train out to either Bikaner or Jodhpur (overnight - saves cost of hotel and, cost of car rental), and then take a hire car from there to the roads less travelled.
When I was in Jaisalmer last year, I took a car with my Indian father to Phalodi where we saw the migratory cranes. I was the only gora in the area. We also went out to the salt mines (underground water wells are tapped for salt) and villages around the area.
Most interesting and, not at all expensive.
Cheers
Zoltan
