Hi folks,
I’m heading to Srinagar next week - wondering if anyone has been recently and can recommend a place to stay? Also, any updates on the situation there currently (looks relatively ok according to news sites, etc)?

Mixed bag. Schools about to open Monday , the winter break was extended by a week from safety concerns. Grenade against police station two days ago. Uneventful curfew a couple of days before that . Anything major will come up in the news sticky on my blog below.
