https://www.ranthamborenationalpark.com/blog/ranthambore-national-park-remain-open-in-monsoon/

Hello,

I am planning a trip to India in July/August and I want to see Ranthambhore National Park. A recent visit to their website told me they are closed after June 30. I was surprised that the whole park would close, but of course I understand the monsoon season affects everything drastically.

I then found the above article that says that some of Ranthambhore will remain open. Does anyone know if this is true? If I go in July, will I be able to see Ranthambhore? Or has the information in this email been proven to be false?

Thank you!

Mammon has seen Ranthambore have some zones open during monsoon in 2016 and 2017. I doubt the authorities will announce a decision about 2018 early. In any case, you are still going to be obliged to take an organised safari.

You might want to review the discussion about booking and prices:

The zones 6 -10 were open for the tourists during the previous monsoon season in 2017. But it attracted a lot of criticism from the tiger conservation organizations and wildlife NGOs. So, the tourist agencies and hoteliers in the Ranthambore National Park are not sure about this year whether few zones of the park will remain open for safari as like previous year or not. The official information from the park authority about it is yet to come. So stay updated about it if you want to visit the park between July and September.

There are ten tourism zone in Ranthambhore Tiger Reserve ( RTR).Ranthambore safari zones 1 to 5 are remains close in monsoon season while rest safari zones 6 to 10 open in monsoon for jungle safari. But currently Safari 7 and 8 can also be closed because they have slippery and more climbing routes.Zone 6 and 10 are good zones and they also have beautiful landscape with good tiger sighting. If you are planning to visit park in monsoon then you can book online safari through any travel company because Government safari booking portal not work for monsoon safari. you can check this online safari booking site , I hope it will be helpful for you - http://www.ranthambhorenationalpark.in/Ranthambhore/Online-Safari-Booking
