Is the there any chance that road Manali-Leh will be open this may? Or is the only way to get there by plane? I would like to see some of Himachal Pradesh also. So if the road are closed do I have to flight back from Leh to Delhi and then return to HP?

You dont have to fly back to Delhi, there are flights to Srinagar, Jammu and Chandigarh too.

Bump. Just wondering when this route has been opened last few years. Would have to take it before the 15th or so of june. Is this likely or is a later opening date more common? Cheers, Rafael

so far the road is closed for traffic because of .... huge landslide :-( aprx. 2 km :-(
