There were some news last year that once famous Malana village in Himachal Pradesh was closed for any tourist. So, how's the situation now, the ban is still working or was lifted? Any recent experience?

To my knowledge the village was never closed but the guesthouses were shut meaning you couldn't stay overnight. As far as I know that is still the case.

Had a friend who walked there thru the Forrest in September 18 there and back.. .Wasnt a problem.. He knew some people so stayed but searched on the way out.. Be aware
