Hi everyone,
I'm new on travelling outside of Europe, and therefore in requiring visa. So I walked into a trap. I applied and payed for Indian Visa on Indiavisa.org which is a un-official site that openly (but of course I didn't understood it at that time) supports you in the visa application process charing you some extra fees. So the site doesn't look like a scam, but reading reviews online I've been a bit confused about it. So I am asking here if any of you knows if at end of the process you get your VISA with no problems.
Thank you so much.

Best,
Carlo writing from Sri Lanka

The legit site is - https://indianvisaonline.gov.in

Fraud website is www.e-visaindia.org.in

Best of luck

I was asking about www.indiavisa.org.in , not about www.e-visaindia.org.in, which luckily is different.
Thank you anyway.
Best

ALWAYS take the official link from the embassy, etc website. Other sites may offer hand holding at the extra cost, money and delay. But, it all goes through the official route anyway. For a tip on getting a longer term visa for India search out the "checklist". Do it all even if it sounds insane. As one employee graciously put it, do without thinking. The process may vary from country to country as they out source it to different companies. Just remember don't mention anything that could be construed the wrong way like journalism, media, writing, yada yada. The EVOAs are much simpler, last only 60 days on arrival. But, people forget to print out the second email which is the actual visa and boom and back on arrival..

Its part of the experience. I couldn't count how many times I have been nicked! Compared to investments and transactions in real estate and the oil business this a dirt cheap education..
