Pleeease someone tell me what I put down as an India referee in my visa app!
I googled it and lots of people have said just put the name of the first hotel I'm staying in, but I'm doing a group tour so I don't know the name of the hotel. I contacted my sta travel agent guy and he contacted the Vodkatrain people, the people I'm doing the tour with, but all the sent him was a help sheet thing about Visa's which still doesn't have an address on it..It did say this though..
Important tips for completing your application forms..
Do not list Vodkatrain, your travel agent details or reference numbers on any application forms. If the form asks you to list an ’inviting organisation’, ‘sponsor’, ‘receiving party’ etc you will need to list our local operator’s details in each country as listed in this document.

So does that mean I just put the local operators in India's address? I can't get hold of Vodkatrain people to find out.
Sorry, I know I'm useless. This is the first time I've ever filled out a visa app form. Please, any help would be great! I'm going away on the 14th of Dec so really want to get my visa sent away asap. Thanks, Jess :):)

Vodkatrain? I made a quick google search and they show up as a Russian tour operator, mainly in Russia and to Bejing. That's something new.

Anyway, for Indian visa you don't need to be so specific. There are a number of questions that are nearly impossible to answer. You can put in a random place (hotel) that you find on the net, or the name of your tour operator, whichever is more appropriate for the question.
