Indian visa in Kathmandu?

Hi there

Me and my girfriend are currently in Kathmandu. We are heading to India soon and was wandering how easy it is to get an Indian visa here in Kathmandu and how hard is the process? We have heard conflicting infomation reguards the length of visa each person receives. We would like to get the 6 month tourist visa (we from uk) but heard sometimes people only get 2/3 months?? Any info from anyone who has experience in this matter would be greatly appriciated. We are in no rush and can head to pokora for a while whilst the visa application is handed in if necessery.

The process is essentially the same - you need to complete the form online, print it out, take it in.

Embassy

Visa Service Centre

Forget 6 months - all recent experience points to getting three. If you get more, regard it as a bonus.

I have heard that if you shop around at travel agencies you should be able to find one that for a 'fee' will get you six months if you are from one of those countries that would get 6 months at home.

Met a couple recently that got new visas in KTM, he got 6 months, she got 3.

And they were married.
