Is there such a thing as an overnight houseboat that leaves Allepey and goes to Kollam?

the DRTC do have boats from Alleppey to Kollam. They are expensive! Thats ok.
Does anyone know if you just show up at the jetty early in the morning and book on the spot or is there a way to do it ahead of time?

Karma Kerala has not very good ratings and I'm very afraid to use them (we are also 2 women travelling and actually prefer to have others on the boat with us)

There will be 3 crew on the boat to manage the boat and cook all the meals. If you want to share a 2 bedroom houseboat with another couple I think that becomes problematic.
