Hi
I am planning on going to india next summer and will be applying for a 3 month either double or multiple entry visa from the embassy over here in the UK.
I have 4 indian visas on my passport from the last 5 years. Does anyone reckon this will be a problem?
Also, i heard we have to go thru agents now rather than direct to the embassy?
true?

On my passports since 1994 I had 5 to 6 Indian visas per passport and i never had a problem. I took my visas mainly in Holland and several times in Nepal and Thailand and 1 time in Sri Lanka. Never any problems but I see now, since last year also in Holland you have to go trough authorized agency. There are some changes here. For instance, for the first time if you are on a doll and do not want to lay on the form and answer that you are on a doll they ask for bank statement that proves you are financially sound. This all have to do with f....ing terrorism I suppose.

Are you a UK resident or out of home country? In any case 3 months shouldn't be a problem. The visa work is outsourced and this should show up on the High Commission website..

The Indian Embassy in Holland outsourced the visa work since last 1,5 years or so. I have 7 Indian visas (valid for 6 months each) in my passport right now, and never had any problems obtaining one. But rules have changed, when filling in 'no profession' last time, they asked me to show a bank account statement. Of course I didn't have one with me. Áfter some discussion, the woman told me "no problem ma'am, just fill in..... whatever". So now I'm a management consultant,,,(still waiting for my salary). Anyway, don't think that having more than a few visas in your passport will cause a problem. Good luck.

Enjoy!

Hi

Applying in your home country would not be a problem, however if you decide you want to go to a neighbouring country and get another visa this would be a problem.

Why would several visas be a problem? If you had two, then three then four and you didn't have a problem.... DOH!
