I would appreciate any info regarding buying low cost (Cheap) flights from BANGKOK to Nepal or India and where the best places to purchase tickets are; direct from air carrier at their office, airport or through a travel agent. I would also be thankfull for any suggestions regarding reliable travel agents in Bangkok.
I've been living in Cambodia for past 4 years and am unfamiliar with the new airport and Bangkok scene.

Hi,
I just flew Bangkok to Bangalore for $US298 (inc all taxes). I bought the ticket at an Indian travel agent on Khao san road across from the Hello Guest House. The ticket was and Indian Airlines ticket but Thai Airways planes service the route, which is a bonus.
When I was in the travel agent I heard Bangkok to Kolcutta on Jet Airways is the cheapest c.6,800 baht.
