Hi ,

M planning a trip to badrinath-Kedarnath through a package deal by Garhwal tourism. I believe after a point one can only trek/go on the horseback... I will have one really old lady and a child with me ... could anyone share their experience of this trip if hey have done it ?

Basically need to understand how tough /easy it would be for people who are not in their peak physical form ,

Thanks

Rahul

Buses go all the waY to Badrinath, theres huge car park there, getting to Kedarnath entails a hike from the last village, people did pass us on Ponies and we pased people being carried in chairs.

Greetings from Rishikesh,

There are also a flight service available to Kedarnath from Augustmuni. Check this out for more detail with Garhwal Tourism.

Kedarnath is a challenging hike, 1500 meters up I think. But you can hire a mule or chair carriers. There are fixed prices for that, and it's very popular with Indian pilgrims. Many Indian tourists / pilgrims are also older or in poor physical shape.
