Autorickshaw to Varanasi airport+ Holi festival in Kathmandu

400Rs. is too high. I am not sure what should be the exact rate, but generally airports are not so far from the city. To my guess, it should be around INR 150.

Yes Saturday is holy festival.You don't need to book hotel in advance.You can find hotel in open arrival.When you get Kathmandu arrival gate there is hotel association counter you can book hotel form there.Normally budget class hotel cost 6-10U$ for single/double room some will provide free transport.I can give you some hotels name which is best value. Hotel Karma and hotel Tashi dhargey if you want to go medium range about 15U$ to 30U$ you can try hotel Thamel.If you book form there will be more easier.

100 Rupees and you'll be paying more than anyone who isn't a tourist.

Thanks everyone. I asked a few rickshaw drivers and the cheapest I got was 250 (I bargain hard though). But finally my hotel arranged something for 200. Might be more expensive because of Holi?
