Hi,

My Indian visa expires in March, and I was planning on applying for a new visa in Nepal to re-enter India in April. I have read on the website of the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu that a second tourist visa within such a short period of time will not be issued anymore.

Does anyone know more about this, or has any recent experience in this? Thanks!

Information on Indian embassy websites can't be trusted. What they say on website and what happens in practise can be 2 different things . Thats an old rule about them not giving visa straight after another , they used to enforce it , but a few years ago gave up on it and issued back to back visas (altho sometimes they refuse people ) .As far as i know thats still the case .
Don't bother about Asian immigration websites they are usually not worth taking notice of.

There are rumors that they will begin giving shorter visas for the back to back visa applicants..
