Anyone going to Munnar?

Hi,

I'm in Fort Cochin at the moment and am planning on going to Munnar for a few days. I am travelling by myself so am looking for other people who either want to join a tour or who want to split the car ride there - it's so hot that i'm not sure i can cope with a long journey by bus. I was thinking of going up in the next day or so - I've been quoted around 1600Rs to get up there, which wouldn't be so bad if it was split between a few of us, especially as it takes about 4.5 hours.

I found the bus ride quite nice...up through lushly wooded areas, tho it was in winter when I went. The public bus was fairly slow, struggling up some of the hills, but was cheap. It wasn't much slower than taking a car.

hi
i have been to munnar by bus , it takes 6.5 hrs from cochin bus station
but for that you have to start early- 6.30 am and the fare is pretty cheap, aroun 1/4th of the car fare
contact kerala tourism office, they will help you in best possible way
