Can I use the same plug thingy as in India? I think it is 2 prongs....

Buying when you get there is incredibly inexpensive if needed. I ended up buying chargers for my iphone and canon camera at about a fifth of western prices. all adapters also easy to buy

Since neither of the above replies answered the question, I will add that from what I have read, Indian/Euro (3- and 2-round--pin) sockets are used, but British style (rectangular pin) sockets can be found as well.
