Hi again,

We hope to visit the Sundarbans for a short time in late March (a walk around the Karamjal Wildlife place).

Does anyone know if there are leeches all year round, or if they only come out when it has been raining? How "leechy" is it likely to be at that time of year?

I am not particularly keen on them, and want to know if I need to tuck in my trousers!

Many thanks in advance.

I went Koromjal several times during this season but did not see Leeches. Do not about monsoon.

BTW, I will highly recommend you to go till Harbaria, not Koromjol. Because, If you go to Harbaria, you will get the real taste of Sundarbans.

Hi Mahmud, thank you for getting back to me. Also thanks for the tip - we only have a few hours so I don't think we'll get the chance to go anywhere else but hopefully next time!

Bangladesh in general, isn't that leechy, at least I haven't encountered any...ever(almost!)!
