Hello everyone and good and beautiful year 2013 !
I returned to Bangladesh from 07 February to 4 March (I've already been in January 2012)
This year I want to go to Barisal, Khulna, Jesore.
Anyone have addresses for these three cities (hotels in the city center) and not too expensive (500/700 for double Tk)

In Khulna we stayed at the Hotel Park on KD Ghosh Rd. This was friendly, cheap and reasonably clean. Can't recall exact price paid last Feb but was cheap. Room had fan and bathroom. Everything worked but it was all a bit tatty. The desk guy spoke English and was helpful re rickshaws, keeping baggage when we went to Sunderbans, etc.
In Barisal we tried several of the cheaper hotels recommended in the Brant guide and they were all super grotty, nobody spoke English, didn't seem very welcoming. Eventually ended up in one on busy main street but not very nice - suggest you do careful research on Barisal before arriving! Hopefully someone else will suggest something? We didn't stop in Jessore. If you go to Dhaka, avoid Hotel Pacific - scruffy and bad value for money.

In Jessore Hasan International will be the best choice, Room rate from 1200-2500 Taka, It is in the city center and Rickshaw driver knows it, Contact @ 042167478, They donot has any non Ac rooms that why the price is bit expensive, with good restaurant facility.
In Khulna the best hotel will be Castle Salam is in the city center, Their Non AC Rooms rate is 600-800 taka,
Hotel Castle Salam with Wi Fi facility in the lobby that i use it for my travel always with a good restaurant facility,

I can recommend Hotel Athena (basic rooms about 800 -900 taka). No breakfast but centrally located and there are plenty of places near by where you can eat.

Hotel Haque, Hotel Paradise in Barisal within range of Taka 300-600. Hotel Ababil starts from Taka 250

We are travelling in Bangladesh, it means stayed in Jessore and Khulna few days ago.
In Jessore. we stayed at Hotel SWAPNAPURI (Hatkhola Road, Mobile: 01743775533). 1 night per 500TK. there is not far from town. You never found this hotel yourself :( if you want to go there, should be ask people. of course we looked for the other hotels. but they said that 1 night was around 700 to 1000.
In Khulna we stayed at Hotel Arcadia. (Khan A Sabar Rd near Hadis park) for 3 days. 2 nights per 500TK, 1 night 400TK (We negotiated!!)
