crossing from b/desh to colcatta possible during monsoon?

hello all.

can anybody give me information, wether the road to colcatta is reliably open in july?
and also if the indian visum and the change of routs permit (to get out of bangla by border crossing) is checket IN the bus when travelling from bangladesh to colcatta via bus.

i would be glad if someone could help me

The road is good enough & the border will be opened during that time.

Other hand, all the formalities done in the immigration office not bus. So, you have to get off from the bus, complete the formalities, cross the border by walking n take bus again.

by the way has anybody tried the the vessel that goes from barisal to chittagong? is it as easygoing as the rocketsteamer from dhaka to khulna?
