Is that any option to arrange trip from Kochkor to Song Kol lake without mediation of travel agency? I wrote to CBT with ask for pricing and they submited me short 2 days trip for unbelievable price 500 usd per person! Moreover this offer applied trip from Bishkek, not from Kochkor despite it was noted I'm intrested in trip from Kochkor. Is that possible to get there from Kochkor by something like shared taxi and effectively arrange accommodation in yurt after reaching. Or maybe are there…

I'll be traveling for about a month across Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and about 3 days in Almaty, and was wondering what is the best way to deal with money there. Should I bring a lot of USD (or EUR or RUB) and exchange it, or can I withdraw cash from ATMs? Can I get by in Almaty or Uzbekistan with mainly credit card?

I'm considering going to Kyrgyzstan for two weeks this summer. From what I've found it seems relatively safe for tourists, but I've found quite a bit of contradictory information. I don't worry that easily, but it's just somewhat unclear.

To get from Tashkent to Bishkek at the end of my trip (going back to France from Bishkek), I am planning to take a $150 flight with a:
- 5h layover in Astana (overnight) (2-7am)
- 9h layover in Almaty (during the day) (9am-6pm)

Is there a better way to get from Tashkent to Bishkek?
