Just wondering if anyone has crossed any of these Tajik-Afghan borders lately ? Would really appreciate some comments. I know that the Panje Payon is open but a bit unsure on the other 2 crossings. I have been told that Langar has a crossing for locals. Anyways, would really appreciate your comments. Thanks.

Hi,

Last year there were 3 buses per week from Osh to Kashgar, leaving Osh on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Is it the same this year?
And when are these buses leaving Kashgar for the return journey to Osh?

Can anyone tell me if the road heading north east to Sary Tash is in the GBAO. This is the road which starts about 130km east of Dushanbe. It crosses into Kyrgyzstan at approximately Achikalma.

Does this road negate the requirment for a GBAO permit?
