Hi everyone:

I'm planning on visiting Uzbekistan this summer (2015), and I was wondering if it was a good time to visit provided the alleged expansion of ISIS in the Islamic world.

My recent hesitation came about after reading this article: http://www.rferl.org/content/uzbekistan-islamic-state-flag-tajikistan-syria-iraq/26565807.html

Thanks,

AJ

There's been a lot of news here in the UK about the number of Brits who've gone to fight for ISIS, over 2000. Given that, it is very conceivable that someone in London, say, could get an ISIS flag and drape it off a bridge. That doesn't mean that the UK is falling to ISIS, it's just the act of one person. As I read that article, it sounds like the same kind of scenario.

IMU, the main Islamic mouvement is targeting officials and people from the Police or the Army.
A tourist is not a target and when you will be there, you will not stay with cops...
Don't stress and enjoy.
